Unchained Social is where your family and closest friends share their lives: photos, short videos, updates and quick notes. No public profiles, no ads, no corporations. Just real people, true connections, and the local places you love.
On your phone, tap Sign in, then in Safari tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen to keep it like an app.
Seven simple promises.
Your feed shows what your family and friends share, in the order they share it. Nothing is pushed, ranked or hidden.
You join only when a family member or friend already on the app invites you.
No public profiles. What you share stays with the people you've connected with.
Nothing sponsored, ever. Your feed is only your people and what they choose to share.
No publicly traded companies or private-equity-owned chains. Just family, friends and the independent places they love.
Strict age checks for every member. Kids' accounts are linked to a parent, and parents approve who their children connect with and see every post first, before it's shared. Kids can only join a group chat or message thread when invited, and a parent or guardian approves it first.
One-on-one and group messages, protected with end-to-end encryption. Only the people in the chat can read them.
Dinners, backyards, birthdays and everyday hellos. The good stuff, kept between the people who matter.
Here's a peek at what we're building.
Privately owned businesses can be invited onto Unchained Social too, and members can recommend a favorite bakery, diner or shop to their family and friends. Still no ads, ever.
Business search only includes privately owned, independent businesses: not publicly traded, and no private equity ties. Members can find each other by first name, middle initial, last name or email, and search shows only a name and email, never phone numbers or birthdays. Posts can't be searched, so your life stays private.
A family member or friend sends you a private invite by email. That's the only way in.
You connect with the person who invited you, and anyone you invite. Each connection is labeled Family or Friend, so you always know who's who.
Post photos, short videos or just a few words. No like or dislike buttons. Just share, comment, and stay connected.
Honor the people you've lost with a lasting In Memory Of profile. Family and friends in your own circles can share stories, photos and memories, kept close and kept private.
Unchained Social is invite-only. To join, ask a family member or friend who's already a member to send you an invite.
